Roadtrip through the Lake District | Video

Hiya, darlings! How's your day going? Hope it's been brilliant so far.

Sorry, I'm just copying everyone around me in my speech, I've noticed. Sometimes I'm imitating British accents, other times my Dutch accent is the easiest thing to spot in the room. At least it's making people laugh (at me, but that's alright :)). It's so confusing to be in the midst of so many different accents and cultures, but it's also SO MUCH FUN! I've been caught saying overly British things one too many times for my liking, though. Although - someone I met a couple of days ago actually thought I was British (judging from my speech) - which I, of course, took as a compliment. Haha! I've also been asked whether I was German, though - but that's not too strange, considering the group of people I've been hanging out with is mostly German (although not explicitly: there's French people and Americans in the mix, too, amongst others - they seem to have a bit more trouble understanding the Germans though (cause sometimes the Germans switch to German speech which I've actually seemed to be able to follow - so that's a revelation haha).

Anyways, remember my last post (which was in Dutch), in which I talked about arriving in Leeds and all that good stuff? I seem to remember promising a video with some footage of the Lakes. I filmed a lot during our stay in Northern England (mostly at the Lakes), and so I thought I'd just put something together. It's definitely not my best work, but it gives an impression of the beautiful countryside of Northern England, at least.

I hope you enjoy, I've got to run now. Talk to you in a bit.

Love evermore,
Lisa
